Durisol Anchored Retaining WallThe Durisol Anchored Retaining Wall System (DARWS) is constructed as a post and precast panel retaining wall system with posts typically located on 12ft (3.65m) or 15ft (4.56m) centers. Retaining loads are handled by steel straps which are attached to clips cast into the back face of the retaining wall panels. Durisol's post and panel design allows unique flexbility in sequencing of wall construction with other site activities. If required, retaining walls can can be built completley before backfill and compaction has started. The DARWS can be incorporated into integrated noise/retaining walls or integrated traffic barrier/retaining wall systems. Absorptive or reflective textures and colours can be coordinated with associated noise walls. DARWS can also be mingled along the length of the wall with the NFRWS system where space behind the wall or utility conflicts do not permit placement of straps. The DARWS is typically utilized for wall heights up to 35ft (11m). All Durisol NFRWS are engineered in house and specify the required steel post sections and the depth and diameter of footings, as required to handle the retaining loads for individual projects. |
