Narrow Footprint Retaining Wall

The Durisol Narrow Footprint Retaining Wall System (NFRWS)  is a post and precast panel retaining wall system with posts typically located on 12ft (3.65m) or 15ft (4.56m) centers.

The NFRWS offers an ideal retaining solution where space does not permit use of a mechanically stabilized solution with straps or grid behind the wall.  The NFRWS requires no straps and minimal excavation/backfill area.

It is an ideal solution to maximize usable lot area for develoment or road or rail track right-of-ways.  The absence of straps also reduces conflicts with underground utilities and significatly simplifies removals and other site construction considerations.

The NFRWS can be incorporated into integrated noise/retaining walls or integrated traffic barrier/retaining wall systems.  Absorptive or reflective textures and colours can be coordinated with associated noise walls.

The NFRWS is typically an extremly economical retaining wall solution for wall heights up to 3-4m depending on soil conditions and charge loads. 

All Durisol NFRWS are engineered in house and specify the required steel post sections and the depth and diameter of footings, as required to handle the retaining loads for individual projects.
